We spent the morning cruising the Rhine Gorge en route to Rudesheim. Simply beautiful countryside with many castles and vineyards. The weather was pretty good, with a little fog, cloud and some sunshine. They served us some Gluwein and liquor filled chocolates on the top deck to warm us up
We arrived in Rudesheim after lunch. I opted to skip the included tour and just go for a walk. Rudesheim is a quaint little town with it’s narrow little cobblestone streets, sadly with it being Christmas Eve most of the shops and restaurants were closed.
After my walk I headed back to the ship,opened my patio doors and enjoyed the sunshine. Another nice relaxing day.
The food here has been fabulous and last night was no exception. We had our Christmas Dinner and I had the venison. It was delicious, unlike any venison I’ve ever had before.
