After sleeping like a baby and a good breakfast, I decided to skip the canal tour and go find Winkels cafe, where, I was told, they have the best apple pie in Amsterdam. This time I wrote down directions and found it no problem. I don’t know if it was the best, but it certainly was very good.
Apple Pie & Hot Chocolate
A little over stuffed (I probably should have skipped breakfast) I waddled back to the Vista. Enroute I took a few last pictures of the canals and the Centraal Station.
In Amsterdam they pay taxes based on the width of their home, this isn’t the skinniest I saw, but I think it might be 2nd…
Back to the ship to relax a bit and then at 1 it was time for the trip to Muiderslot castle. Located just outside of Amsterdam it is a small castle complete with a moat
At 5 pm we set sail for Cologne which will take 22 hours. It’ll be nice to have a morning with nothing to do.
